- You used to wish for this.
You used to wish for this.
Not long ago, I found an old note in my phone.
It said something like:
“All I want is to work from home. Just one client. Just a little more time with my family.”
That was it.
Nothing fancy.
Just quiet hopes from a version of me who was tired of rushing through life.
And here’s the thing:
I have all those things now.
I work from home. (4 times a week)
I get to write every day.
I have time with my wife and kid.
My schedule isn’t perfect, but it’s mine.
And still…
There are days I feel behind.
Like I’m not doing enough.
Like I’m failing at the next version of the dream.
Funny, right?
One day you’re wishing for something.
The next day you have it.
And the day after that…
You forget you ever wanted it.
Because the moment you get it…
You start chasing something else.
More followers.
More money.
More clarity.
More better.
And I’m not saying stop growing.
But damn!
We owe it to ourselves to notice.
To stop mid-sprint, look around, and say:
“Hey… this was the dream. This was the thing.”
Because if you don’t?
You’ll miss it.
And that would be a shame.
