- Why you feel stuck (even when you’re making progress)
Why you feel stuck (even when you’re making progress)
Newsflash:
“I’ve started cheating again.”
Not on people.
On my food.
Ultra-processed snacks crept back in.
And I wrote it down with that familiar mix of frustration and shame.
But I also wrote something else:
“I read instead of doomscrolling.”
More than once.
And when I saw that line, something shifted.
Because I didn’t notice that win until I looked for it.
And once I saw it, it changed how I felt about the whole week.
Most people think they need a better system.
A smarter plan.
More tactics.
But here’s what I’ve learned:
You’re not stuck because you’re failing.
You’re stuck because you’re not paying attention.
When I don’t reflect, I forget my wins.
When I forget my wins, I stop reinforcing the behaviors that matter.
And when that happens… I spiral.
That’s why I pause.
Just once a week.
No dashboard.
No Notion template.
Just a quiet moment to ask:
What did I do well?
What slipped?
What felt good?
What do I want to change?
That’s the hidden power of reflection:
You see what’s working
You feel proud
You do more of it
You lock it in
You change
And honestly?
I need to get better at celebrating.
Sometimes I skip the win because it feels small.
Because I’m waiting for the big one.
The “destination.”
The moment I think will finally make me feel like I’ve arrived.
But here’s the truth I keep learning:
If you don’t celebrate the small stuff,
you’ll never stay consistent long enough to reach the big stuff.
So if you’ve been feeling stuck lately?
Try this:
Take 5 minutes.
Write down 3 wins from the past 7 days, even if they feel dumb.
Then ask: “What’s one thing I want to shift next week?”
You might realize…
You’re already becoming the person you want to be.
You just haven’t slowed down enough to notice.
To your growth,
