My enemy finally has a name
I’ve been off my game lately.
Scrolling reels.
Snacking like I’m carb-loading for a marathon I’m not even running.
It’s been hard to get back to work.
Even after an incredible trip to Taiwan with my family. (Which, to be fair, I wanted to be fully present for.)
But now? The battle begins again.
So I did what I always do when I’m stuck:
I asked ChatGPT for help.
“What book should I read to stop being lazy and actually get back to building?”
It gave me The War of Art.
And damn…
This book isn’t whispering to me…
It’s yelling in my face.
I'm only in Book One, and it already called me out.
Not with shame.
But with clarity.
It told me what I’ve been fighting this whole time:
Resistance.
Not laziness.
Not burnout.
Not the algorithm.
Just resistance. Wearing all those masks.
It helped me put a name to the enemy.
Since then, I’ve had small wins.
I wrote for an hour again.
I hit the gym for a brutal leg day (even added chest day just to spite the voice in my head begging me to rest).
I’m rebuilding Vikko 2.0. One battle at a time.
Here’s the truth:
If you’re trying to build something that matters, you will face resistance.
It’s not personal.
It’s the tax for doing meaningful work.
But naming the enemy is the first step to defeating it.
So I’ll ask you:
What’s your resistance looking like today?
And what’s the smallest win you can pull off to punch it in the face?
To your growth,
Vikko
