I See You Trying—Here’s How to Make It Easier
Feeling off-track? It happens to everyone.
The quickest way to scale as a writer? Ghostwriting.
✅ You don’t need any startup capital.
✅ You don’t need a big social audience.
✅ And you don’t need decades of writing experience.
Freedom isn’t just a dream—it’s a system.
You don’t need to hustle harder. That’s the lie keeping you stuck.
Balancing a 9-5 and building an online business isn’t about working longer hours—it’s about knowing what not to work on.
Right now, you’re probably trying to do it all: your job, your family, your side hustle. And it’s exhausting.
I know because I’ve been there.
For months, I’d come home from my 9-5, skip dinner, and work late into the night.
I thought my endless to-do list would lead me to freedom.
Spoiler: It didn’t.
Here’s what I realized:
Burnout isn’t a badge of honor.
Freedom isn’t about doing everything—it’s about doing the right things.
Let’s talk about why this journey feels so overwhelming—and how to fix it.
Why It’s Easy To Lose Momentum
I used to wake up every Monday motivated, ready to crush my goals.
By Wednesday, I was running on fumes.
By Friday, I hadn’t done anything meaningful for my business.
Here’s the thing: Most people think they’re stuck because they’re lazy or unmotivated. But that’s not the problem.
The problem is bandwidth.
When you’re juggling a full-time job, a side hustle, and life, you’re being pulled in too many directions.
The result?
You’re busy, but you’re not productive.
The Truth About Productivity
Let’s be honest: Productivity hacks and morning routines won’t save you.
You don’t need a $50 planner.
You don’t need a color-coded calendar.
You don’t need a 12-step “optimal workflow.”
Your First Step to Freedom
Here’s how I turned things around:
I asked myself one question every morning:
"What’s the most obvious thing I can do today to grow my business?"
That’s it. No distractions. No endless to-do lists. Just one clear priority every day.
Here’s what happened:
I landed my first paying client.
My audience grew by 30%.
I stopped burning out.
When you strip away the noise and focus on needle-moving tasks, everything changes.
Your Next Move
Burnout isn’t inevitable. You can build your business without sacrificing your sanity.
Start by asking yourself this:
"What’s the most obvious thing I can do today to grow my business?"
Then, do that thing.
Freedom isn’t a fantasy. It’s a system. And it starts with you.
Your First Step
Recognizing these challenges is half the battle.
The good news? You don’t need more time or energy.
You just need a better system.
Let’s talk about how to realign your focus and reignite your goals.
How to Realign and Reignite Your Goals
The P.A.C.E. Framework
To simplify the chaos, I developed the P.A.C.E. Framework—a four-step process to realign your focus and regain momentum. Here’s how it works:
Prioritize: Identify the one task that will move your business forward today.
Align: Make sure your actions connect to your bigger “why” and long-term vision.
Commit: Set a specific time on your calendar to complete this task.
Evaluate: At the end of the day, review what worked and what didn’t, so you can adjust for tomorrow.
This isn’t about adding more complexity.
It’s about creating clarity and building momentum, one step at a time.
Step 1: Prioritize the Most Important Tasks
Not everything on your to-do list matters.
To make real progress, you need to identify the one or two tasks that will drive the most impact each day.
Here’s how to do it:
Write down all the tasks you think you need to do this week.
Ask yourself: Which of these will grow my audience, increase revenue, or sharpen my skills?
Circle the top three tasks. Cross out the rest.
Example Tasks to Prioritize:
Writing and publishing a high-value post.
Reaching out to a potential collaborator.
Refining your product or service for your audience.
Step 2: Align Your Actions with Your Goals
Before you dive into your day, ask yourself:
Are my daily tasks connected to my long-term vision?
Am I clear about why I’m doing what I’m doing?
Your tasks should reflect your deeper "why." For example:
If your goal is freedom, don’t waste time on tasks that don’t contribute to that.
If your goal is audience growth, focus on actions that directly connect you to your audience.
Alignment Tip: Review your goals weekly and make adjustments as needed. What mattered last month might not matter now.
Step 3: Commit to One Non-Negotiable
It’s easy to get overwhelmed by a mountain of tasks.
That’s why I recommend committing to just one non-negotiable task each day.
This is the task you’ll complete no matter what—even if the rest of your day goes off the rails.
Example Non-Negotiables:
Send one pitch email to a potential client.
Write one high-value post for your audience.
Record one video for your product launch.
Pro Tip: Block 90 minutes for this task on your calendar. Treat it like an unmissable appointment.
Step 4: Evaluate and Adjust Daily
At the end of the day, take five minutes to reflect:
What worked well today?
What didn’t go as planned?
What can I improve tomorrow?
This quick evaluation ensures you’re constantly learning and improving.
Tip: Use a simple notebook or journal to track your daily reflections and spot patterns over time.
Your Next Move
Setbacks don’t define your journey—your resilience does.
Each small, intentional step brings you closer to the freedom you’re working for.
So today, ask yourself: “What’s the most obvious thing I can do to grow my business?”
Then, go do it. Because freedom doesn’t come from dreaming—it comes from doing.
You’ve got this.
