I Looked at Success and Asked: Why Not Me?
Dear Reader,
Last week, my family and I stayed in a high-rise district that felt like the heartbeat of ambition.
The kind of place that makes you stop and wonder: “What would it take for me to live here?”
You know what I’m talking about: the towering buildings, luxury condos, and the buzz of people who’ve clearly “made it.”
It’s the kind of place that feels aspirational—a world away from the daily grind most of us live in.
As I looked out from our Airbnb window, I couldn’t help but ask myself:
"What did these people do to get here?"
And maybe you’ve asked yourself the same thing when you see someone living the life you want.
Here’s the truth:
The people living in places like that didn’t settle for the ordinary. They took risks. They made bold moves.
They decided to chase something bigger, even when it felt uncertain.
And standing there, looking at the city lights, I felt something ignite in me.
It wasn’t envy. It wasn’t jealousy.
It was fire.
A burning reminder that I don’t just want to get by—I want to thrive.
I don’t just want to live a comfortable life—I want a life that makes me proud.
I want to prove to myself that I’m capable of doing something extraordinary.
And I know you feel that fire, too.
But here’s the hard part:
That fire can either fuel you—or fade.
You can let it push you to act, or you can let it burn out while you wait for the “right time.”
For years, I let my fire fade.
I spent my days working a job that felt secure but uninspiring. I told myself I’d start chasing my dreams someday.
I’d see people online building businesses, gaining financial freedom, living on their terms—and I’d think, “That’s amazing for them, but it’s not for me.”
The truth?
I wasn’t waiting for the right time. I was just scared to start.
It wasn’t until I took my first step—messy, uncertain, imperfect—that things began to change.
I started posting on Threads. Writing newsletters. Sharing my ideas.
None of it felt significant at first.
My posts didn’t go viral. My audience didn’t grow overnight.
But every post, every email, every connection built momentum.
And 17 months later, I’ve grown an audience of 3,400+ while balancing a full-time job and family life.
Here’s what I’ve learned:
The fire you feel? It’s a gift.
It’s your potential reminding you of what’s possible.
But that fire alone won’t change your life.
Action will.
What About You?
When was the last time you felt that fire?
That burning desire to break out of the ordinary? To prove to yourself (and the world) that you’re capable of more?
Here’s the truth: Every time you ignore that fire, it fades a little.
And every time you act on it, it grows stronger.
So, what’s your next step?
Write it down. Commit to one small action today. It doesn’t have to be perfect or grand.
Just start.
The Cost of Waiting
Let me ask you this:
What happens if you don’t act?
You already know the answer. Nothing changes.
You stay in the same place, watching others live the life you want.
I don’t say this to scare you—I say it because I’ve been there.
For years, I let the fire fade while I stayed in my comfort zone.
But comfort isn’t where dreams are built.
Dreams are built when you take the fire inside you and turn it into fuel.
A Moment of Reflection
I remember standing in a high-rise district surrounded by towering buildings and the hum of possibility.
For a moment, I felt like a tiny speck in a massive world.
But instead of feeling small, I felt determined.
Because I know one thing for sure:
I wasn’t made to blend in. I was made to stand out.
And so were you.
To your growth,
Vikko
P.S
What’s the fire inside you telling you to do? Write it down.
Take one small action today.
And if you’re struggling to start, reply to this email—I’d love to hear what’s holding you back.
