How to tell if you’re an overthinker

Ever made a decision…

Thought it through…

Let it breathe…

Then, right before the moment of action, you hear this little voice:

“Wait. Maybe not.”
“Maybe later.”
“What if this isn’t the best move?”

So you pause.

You rethink.

You backpedal.

You convince yourself to stay safe.

To delay.

To choose logic over action.

And it feels smart.
It feels responsible.
It feels like wisdom.

But it’s not.

It’s overthinking.

With better branding.

If you've already made a calm, clear decision…
And you're now trying to unmake it without new information…
You’re not being careful.
You’re just scared.

And that’s okay.

Because here’s the truth:

We’re all master persuaders, especially when we’re trying to sell ourselves on not moving.

The trick is knowing when it’s your brain being wise…
vs your fear wearing a name tag that says “I’m just thinking this through.”

So here’s the test:

Did you already make the decision?
Did you already weigh the options without pressure?
Have the facts changed, or just your comfort level?

If the facts are the same…

And the discomfort is louder…

It’s not a sign to stop.

It’s a sign to start.

So the next time your brain tries to pitch you on pulling back?

Remember:

You are your most convincing salesperson.
Use that power to move you forward.
Not sell you out of the life you said you wanted.

To your growth,
Vikko
