Feel like giving up? Here’s why slow progress is the best kind.
Hey mate,
Ever feel like you’re showing up every day, putting in the work, but the results are barely there?
Like planting seeds and waiting… and still, nothing sprouts.
You’re not alone. I’ve been there.
Eight years ago, I was just wishing, hoping, even praying to become an entrepreneur.
I tried MLM, freelancing, even built my own mobile app. Nothing seemed to stick.
Then I got into digital writing about 16 months ago, and guess what? It took over a year to make a single income from it.
But I didn’t quit.
I didn’t throw money at a thousand-dollar course, and I didn’t walk away from my job or family (of course).
Instead, I did the simple, unglamorous thing: I kept showing up.
Day after day, I studied, read, tested offers, created content, and trusted the process.
And here’s what I learned—like investing in the stock market, every small action you take is an investment in something bigger.
You might not see returns immediately, but those actions are building up.
The Hard Truth About Building Authority
You don’t need to make a drastic move or go “all in” to start seeing progress.
The path isn’t linear, and it isn’t fast.
Each small step, every uncomfortable action, is getting you closer.
And here’s a little secret: the wins you’re looking for?
They’re already there in front of you, just in smaller pieces than you expected.
The Power of Tiny Wins (For Yourself and Others)
So, what’s the answer when the journey feels slow?
Tiny wins.
Simple, right? But hear me out.
Here’s what tiny wins do:
For Yourself – Every time you step out of your comfort zone, you’re building up your skills, resilience, and confidence. Whether it’s sending that DM, launching an imperfect product, or trying something new, these small steps make you stronger.
For Others – Every time you share a tip, answer a question, or give someone feedback, you’re planting a seed. People remember who helped them, even if it was in a small way. That’s trust, my friend, and in the long game, trust is worth more than followers or clicks.
The “Tiny Wins” Challenge
Here’s a quick action plan to keep you moving:
For Yourself – Set a small goal for today. Don’t overthink it. Maybe refine a skill, jot down a fresh idea, or map out a small step. The key is to do something that nudges you forward.
For Someone Else – Add value to someone’s day. This could be answering a question, offering advice, or sharing a quick insight. Every small act of helping someone else builds trust, which is the real currency here.
These actions might seem almost too small to matter, but trust me, they add up.
To make it even easier, I’ve put together a [Small Wins Action Checklist] in Notion.
Use it to track these daily wins for yourself and others.
Over time, you’ll see how even the tiniest actions stack up.
Final Word: Keep Showing Up
Growth isn’t a straight line.
It’s messy, full of setbacks, and sometimes it feels like nothing’s happening.
But the ones who stick it out are the ones who win.
So here’s the challenge: trust the process, push through the discomfort, and remember—every small step you take is building the foundation for something bigger.
Your journey might feel slow, but keep going.
Those results you’re chasing?
They’ll come.
To your freedom,
Vikko
