Ever received a thank you that truly surprised you?
Last week, I experienced that.
Carerra (my friend from Threads) gave me a shoutout that left me speechless. (You’ll find his gratitude post at the end of this email.)
We connected on Threads back when it was starting out.
We were both testing the waters.
In his early days on Threads, Carrera mentioned his posts barely got any engagement—a few likes and the occasional comment.
And most of the time, the comment was from me.
My simple, consistent engagement was one of the reasons he stayed on Threads.
Now, his account has blossomed with over 2,000 followers and a lively community.
It was such a good reminder of how acts of encouragement (even small ones) had such a significant impact.
We often underestimate the influence and impact of our words and actions.
A compliment. A smile. A simple thank you.
And in this case, comments.
Yet, these small gestures can affect someone's journey.
Carrera’s story was the perfect example of that impact.
It's a beautiful cycle of giving and receiving encouragement.
So, never underestimate the little good deeds that you do. You never know whose life you might be changing.
It doesn’t take much—a compliment, a recognition, a smile, a thank you, a comment.
These small acts can mean the world to someone and spark a chain reaction of positivity and growth.
Keep planting those seeds. You never know what might blossom!
For our community,
Vikko
