- Do you ever feel this tug-of-war?
Do you ever feel this tug-of-war?
Confession:
I only get about 2 golden hours a day.
That’s it.
And for a while, those two hours went straight into business.
Writing, building, testing.
But then I started going to the gym.
Three days a week, those hours got traded for pull ups and squats.
Business slowed down.
Now I’m also learning golf.
Which means gym takes a hit.
And business? Still crawling.
Here’s the surprising part:
I’m happier than ever.
Yet a little disappointed too.
Because I realized something…
It’s not just about gym or business or golf.
Even thinking about life… what to eat… being mindful… it all takes energy.
Every fire you feed, even the small ones, draws from the same tank.
And none of us have an unlimited tank.
So maybe it’s not about “balance.”
Maybe it’s about giving yourself permission to light one fire at a time…
And being okay when another dims.
What about you?
Do you ever feel that tug-of-war, where progress in one area quietly steals fuel from another?
Reply and tell me.
Not as readers. Just as friends trying to figure this out together.
For trying to achieve “balance“,
