5 Sacrifices I Made for My Big Dream Project

Have you ever found yourself awake at 2 AM, wondering if you're on the right path?

That's exactly where I've been lately.

I've been working late every night on something I absolutely believe in.

But it's made me think: How much are we willing to sacrifice for our dreams?

Today, I want to share with you the 5 sacrifices I made in pursuit of this project.

My hope is that my experience might inspire you or at least make you feel less alone in your own journey.

#1: Threads Time

I used to be on Threads all the time.

Always engaging with everyone.

But these days, I'm lucky to catch a few minutes here and there.

I love engaging on Threads but I know this brief break is for something bigger.

#2: Content Consumption

I used to be a knowledge addict.

Articles, videos, podcasts – you name it, I consumed it.

Now, if it doesn't directly help my goal, I don't look at it.

It's like being on a strict diet, but for information.

Is it tough? Yes.

But it's also incredibly effective.

The focus has been a game-changer.

#3: Sleep and Health

You know the saying, "I'll sleep when I'm dead"?

Well, I'm not dead, but I'm definitely tired.

Late nights, early mornings, and way too much coffee have become my new normal.

My body isn't happy, but my mind is on a mission.

I know it's not healthy long-term, but for now, it feels necessary.

#4: Reading

I stopped reading recently.

And I feel like I’ve abandoned old friends.

But every minute I don't spend reading is a minute I spend working on this project.

The stories can wait – right now, I'm busy writing my own.

#5 Social Life

"Sorry, can't make it. Working on something big."

That's become my go-to response lately.

Zoom calls and virtual coffee chats– I've had to say no to all of it.

It's lonely, but I believe it's necessary.

While I'm missing out now, I'm creating something that will bring people together later.

So, was it all worth it?

The short-term joy of completing the project does feel amazing.

But the long term impact?

Ask me in a few weeks.

But here's what I know for sure: Sometimes, to create something truly valuable, you have to step out of your comfort zone.

You have to be willing to make sacrifices.

Remember, your dreams are worth pursuing.

Your hard work matters.

And sometimes, the most valuable things in life come at a cost.

Here's to late nights, big dreams, and the courage to chase them.
